About the Tournament

For the first time in history, Srikandi Sports Carnival will held a 3 on 3 basketball tournament or also known as a street basketball. It is a form of a basketball game played three a side on one hoop. The Official FIBA basketball rules are valid for all game situations not specifically mentioned in the 3 on 3 rules of the game herein. 

 

There will be two categories for this tournament – Old Boys and Old Girls. Both teams may register up to 5 players per team and limited to 16 teams for Old Boys and 12 teams for Old Girls. The registration deadline is on 30th April 2016. All participants can register via online and make payment based on the categories and fees below.

Old Boys:

     Champion : RM300 + Trophy + 5 x Medals

     1st Runner Up : 5 x Medals

     2nd Runner Up : 5 x Medals

 

Old Girls

     Champion : RM300 + Trophy + 5 x Medals

     1st Runner Up : 5 x Medals

     2nd Runner Up : 5 x Medals

Important Information

  1. Participants are limited to 16 teams for Old Boys and 12 teams for Old Girls.

  2. Registration is based on first-come-first-served basis and will be closed once maximum number is reached.

  3. Online registration needs to be done by 1 person on behalf of the team, and manual bank transfer is required for the payment. Teams registration will be cancelled should they fail to make payment within 3 days of registration.

  4. Registration fees are non-refundable in the case of any withdrawal from the tournament.

  5. Team members can be from the same alumni or mixed alumni. 

  6. Each team will be provided with drinking water. 

  7. The Organising committee reserves the right to change the venue, tournament date, tournament schedule, tournament format, tournament rules and regulations, tournament prizes and contents of the registration form. Partipating teams shall be notified accordingly.

  8. The Organising committee will not tolerate any acts of violence by managers, assistant managers, players or supporters upon referees, match officials, opposing players, opposing supporters or the members of the Organising committee before, after or during match. Such discipline will automatically result in the errant team to be expelled from the tournament.

  9. Referees' decisions are FINAL.

  10. The Organising committee and the sponsors will not be held responsible for any injuries/ death/ misfortune incurred by either managers, assistant managers, players or supporters before, during or after the whole duration of the tournament.

 

Rules and Regulations

  1. The players listed on a team entry form are the only ones eligible to play. Player changes must be submitted and approved at least 2 days before the tournament day.

  2. Each team should be consisted of at least by 3 players.

  3. Duration of the game will be 15 minutes or 11 points (which condition that occurs first).

  4. FIBA 3on3 rules apply.

  5. The 1st round will be sailed in groups of 3-5 teams, depending on the number of participating team.

  6. Players of each team have to wear same coloured attire.

  7. Each participant can take part in only one team.

  8. Good sportsmanship is anticipated and expected. Players that become rude, unruly or act in a manner that is not in the best interest of the tournament, may be removed from the tournament.
